Invoice Types

NIC Malta issues two types of financial documents:

1. Proforma Invoice (PFI):

   • Issued immediately upon a registration request or renewal initiation.
   • Action Required: This must be paid for the service to be fulfilled.
   • Note: This is not a tax document.

2. Tax Invoice (TAX):

   • Issued automatically once payment is reconciled.
   • Use this for your VAT and accounting records.

Making a Payment

1. Navigate to the Invoices tab on your dashboard.
2. Find any invoice with a status of PENDING.
3. Click the green Pay Now button (if online payment is enabled) or follow instructions on the PDF.
4. Once paid, the status changes to PAID (green badge).

Downloading Invoices

Click the Download PDF link next to any invoice line item to get a robust, printable PDF version of your document.
